Thinglet started on August 16, 2011.
It began as Thinglet Software and Marketing, back when “we need a website” was still a decision a business had to argue about. Fifteen years later the work is the same at its core: take the technology that is genuinely useful, strip out the noise, and hand a small business something it can run without a full-time IT department.
Today Thinglet operates as two brands under one roof. Thinglet Marketing handles branding, web and mobile, social, SEO, email, and media buying including TV and radio. Thinglet A.I. handles AI consulting, education, and implementation. Most clients end up using both, because a great AI workflow still needs someone to point it at the right customers.

Patrick “Pat” Albert

Pat is an owner-operator, not a consultant on the sidelines. He spent two decades in hospitality, from the floor to ownership, running high-volume operations, staffing, inventory, and P&L. He served in the U.S. Navy, where accountability and mission-first execution were not slogans. He has been building on the internet since 1999 and has run Palm Desert Geeks in the Coachella Valley for more than 21 years.
He is also an author and publisher. His books include The Small Business Owner’s AI Playbook, Geoffrey’s Conspiracies, The Baysinger Adventures, and The Sotelos, all published under Albert Publishing House. He speaks on AI and emerging tech for small business, and on creativity and AI storytelling for schools, libraries, and family events. He is a DeVry University graduate, a member of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce, and holds a licensed real estate background.
The short version: he has made payroll. That is why the advice here tends to be specific, and why nothing gets recommended that has not been run in a real business first.
